Yes, we all have quite different likes and tastes when it comes to clothing and fashion, but are we here to talk about that? Absolutely not. However, we can agree on one thing. Most girls want their prom nights to be as Disney-like as possible.
No matter how Tomboyish they are inside the college premises, on the big day this girls want to look like their favorite female characters from the disney world. Today we will tell you about the incredible story of Parker and Addi, two Prom mates that went viral on Social Media because of the famously crafted Prom dress.
Similar to most of the females before prom, Pendleton Heights senior Adrianna Rust wanted to wear the most gorgeous dress possible. For those following Addi on her insta, the actual fairytale began in February 2019, when she went on a hunt for a perfect dress. She ended up loving a dress but sadly had to turn away because it was way too expensive for her wallet.
And then she was like “Parker, why don’t you just make my prom dress!” she jokingly told her best friend and the two chuckled about it for a while.
She really did like one but it was ridiculously overpriced. Luckily, her best friend Parker Smith took her joke serious enough to make her dream come true. One cheeky little joke lead Parker to actually begin planning the dress craft. Keep in mind, Parker had never sewn anything in his entire life before this! What a legend…
Parker told himself that he would actually craft something just so his prom date could feel like a real-life Cinderella story on the big occasion.
Parker sketched out a dress himself and then took over the hardest part – learning how to sew clothing. Yes he was guided by his grandma throughout this sweet journey, he reportedly had to redo certain parts of the dress a few number of times to ensure things fitted perfectly.
“I’m such a perfectionist that I was up adding more stones to the dress even the night before prom,” he said.
He kicked off by drawing out Addi’s perfect gown on paper. From there on in, he made it through trial and effort.
“Quite a ride, but the first thing I’ve ever made (a prom dress) has been done, before the deadline for the ball! Not only did I get the honor of being the Prince Charming to the beautiful @AddiRust, but her fairy godmother as well, haha! I’m so thankful for her. (From scratch),” Parker tweeted along with the beautiful pictures of the pair on their prom day.
The result came out so awesome, people are advising him to start a new career in the clothing industry.
